Luke 1:78 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

God uses His people to Bless His People

 Dearest Brothers and Sisters:

First I want to say I’m very sorry for getting behind in keeping the website up. Those of you that know me know that I don’t give excuses, so having said that we’ll just move on.

Wow what a time the last several months have been.  We have done charity work around the community: Helped gather firewood for the elderly, given coats, snow-boots and clothes to kids our kids and kids in the community, handed out over fifty Thanksgiving baskets and passed out food pantry items each time they were available. Praise be to God for His awesome blessings.

The result of all that is that as people came and we went, we were able to present them with the wonderful gospel message.

Please know that we do not claim any credit for the financing, shipping and the work associated with all of that. God’s people in other states and churches get to claim that reward. I am thankful to those of you that made it happen. May our God richly bless you. Heb. 10:34 34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

New Church Building Getting Close!!!

As most of you have heard by now Dayspring MBC was awarded the Southwest Associations Mission Development Fund. That fund amounted to $11,251.00 this year and it was enough to get us started on finishing the project. Things that left to be done are the new bathrooms, sidewalk, drop ceilings and some miscellaneous things. If you have anything in your budget that you could help to fund this project with, we would much appreciate it. We are getting close we just need a little more help to finish things up. The contractor has his crew on the job, please help if you can!

Pray with us for these.

Dayspring MBC has always had Frances McAfee at the front of the church when services began. Ms. Frances has been absent lately. To begin with she fell and broke one of the lower vertebrae in her back. It seemed like she was getting better, then all of a sudden we learned that one of the medications that she had been on ate a hole in her stomach and she had to be rushed into emergency surgery. We all thought this could be bad for our Sister, after all she is 92 but thanks be to God she is back up and at it. The snow has her trapped now but praise God she is improving daily.

I have told most of you about Lance Mariano. Lance has cancer and the doctors have told the family that time is short for Lance. He was in Church Sunday and we told the Church that even though the Doctor’s had given up, our God still can. Of course we don’t pretend to know our LORD’S plan, but we do know that HE still can. Please join us in believing that if it be God’s will He can bring Lance through this. Then join with us in praying for the will of God to be done in this 20 year old young man’s life.

SALVATION AND REDEDICATION

On Sunday morning November 13th 2011 Lance Mariano announced his faith in our LORD Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. We may never get to baptize Lance as we are afraid that he may get pneumonia or a cold or something else but he is secure in knowing that Jesus saved him for all eternity.

During our clothing handout we had many visitors to the church. Following the morning worship service I had several members of a single family express interest in our family. Now they did not make a commitment at that time but we are prayerful that they will in the coming days. Again we are so thankful that God is at work in Thoreau, NM. Please join us in asking God to use us as His representatives in presenting His Word to all these folks.

 EXCUSE OUR MESS

As I’m sure you can imagine the construction work has presented us with some unique challenges. First off we generally have about thirty kids at every service. Right now our restrooms are torn out  and they have a big hole dug where the old facilities were. There are also bare electrical wires so we are leaving the kids at home at the present. We are hoping that the bathrooms will be finished by next Sunday. In the meantime we’ve called for a port-a-potty to be delivered. The thing I always hated about those things is that when it gets cold most folks forget that they need to go. It was at least 3 degree here Monday night. The drop ceiling is also being installed in the new building and they are coming along good. I would not be surprised if it is finished by this Sunday. Yeah, it is hard to be patient.

MAY THE LORD OUR GOD BLESS YOU THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON!!!
